Yes. when you have obtained a Private number that starts with ISD code (generally +1). Using such Sim number, you can send and receive calls and messages from real numbers in the world.
If you have not obtained Sim number and only have a WiFi number, then you cannot. The app can send and receive messages and calls to and from other WiFi numbers (which starts with '+T123'). The WiFi number works on the TextApp network only.
The TextApp network does not interconnect to any other mobile like networks. This provides higher privacy and security.
